Born in Brooklyn and raised surrounded by music. Adanita started singing at the age of 10 but she started pursuing her music career when she was 16 years old.
During the years she has encountered a lot of great opportunities and a lot of great artists.
Just to name a few of Adanita’s accomplishments: She sang at the 10th Anniversary comic view theme on B.E.T, Performed at L.L. Cool J’s benefit Tour with C&C Music Factory as the lead female vocalist, sang background vocals for artists Lissette Melendez Safire Brickgame, and was offered the role of Mimi in the hit play RENT.
We are excited to announce that the Lehigh Senior High School R.O.T.C will be opening this years Lehigh Winterfest with a presentation of the colors.
The flag will be lowered half way down during the ceremony in honor of all of our soldiers that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and for those who are still fighting for our safety and freedom.
Mrs. Leona Collins, a Native New Yorker, has been a professional Gospel recording artist since the age of 12. She began singing in Brooklyn, New York with the great "Institutional Radio Choir" where her first single "Anytime and Anywhere" was recorded.
She has sung along with great Gospel Artists such as the Late Reverend James Cleveland, Reverend Shirley Ceasar, The Hawkins Singers, Andre Crouch and many others. She moved to Fort Myers, Florida in March of 2000 and began singing with the First Assembly of God Choir.
After moving to Lehigh Acres in 2001 she joined New Life Assembly of God Choir where she presently sings. As she puts it "I have known for 23 years this is where I was called to go and this is what I was supposed to do.. I had my orders from God." She told her pastor John Baschieri when she got there "Now I'm home".
Leona has contributed to her community ever since moving to Lehigh Acres by getting involved with the C.A.S.COLA organization, the Domino organization at the Majestic Gold Course, Outreach Ministries at Faith Lutheran Church, The Lehigh Acres Spring Festival, and the Lee Civic Center. With a supportive husband James and her 4 sons she will continue to be a blessing to all she can.
We are proud to announce that Mrs. Collins will be singing Christmas favorites at this years Lehigh Winterfest!
Local pop singer and PBS TV show host Cody Vagle will be appearing at the 2013 Lehigh Winterfest.
Cody is the star of the PBS TV show Curious Kids. The hit show was just honored with a Bronze TELLY Award.
Cody started singing at age 5 in the church choir. It was obvious to anyone that heard him that he had a gift beyond his years. The choir director invited Cody to audition for the Christmas pageant. He got the part to perform a vocal solo in the production. At the ripe old age of 5 1/2 he started auditioning for local musical theater groups getting the parts, performances included shows at The Broadway Palm Dinner Theater where he was cast in such classics as Peter Pan.
At the age of 8 he was seen by a national touring company who needed local child performers for a production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Center. Cody was one of 150 local kids to audition for the two available spots and received the spot...
This young performer was also invited to sing for Prince Albert of Monaco at the Harbor Side Events Center.
Cody's live performances include: Opening act for Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, The Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, The Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Center, South Florida Fair, Cape Coral Italian Fest, City of Palms Park, Royal Palm Art & Music Festival to name a few.
What's a Winter Event without some snow to play in?
This year we will have Snow Flurries throughout the entire event!
The snow used at Lehigh Winterfest is a synthetic, non-toxic foam that will be dispersed by a machine over a designated area. Not actual snow.
